Our Healing Partnership

At Eutierria Connection, we recognize that the therapeutic relationship is both sacred and practical. This document outlines how we can work together in ways that honor both aspects of our connection while ensuring clear understanding about practical matters.

Financial Relationships

Medical Insurance:

I am "out-of-network" with all medical insurance companies. If you have out-of-network mental health benefits, I will support you by providing necessary documentation for reimbursement. While I cannot guarantee reimbursement, I will work with you to provide what your carrier needs.

Payment Approach:

I believe in maintaining clear and honest financial relationships. Payment is due at the time of service via cash or credit card. To maintain the integrity of our therapeutic relationship, I require:

  • An active credit card on file

  • 24-hour notice for cancellations (during business hours: Monday-Friday 9 AM-5 PM)

  • Prepayment for future sessions after two missed appointments

Financial Accessibility:

I am committed to making healing work accessible. I offer:

  • Sliding scale options based on need

  • Discussion of financial concerns during initial consultationFlexible payment arrangements when possible

Refund Policy:

I strive to maintain clear and fair financial relationships in our healing work:

  • Refund requests must be made within 15 days of service

  • Each request is considered individually with care and attention

  • Approved refunds processed within 5-7 business days to original payment method

  • Fully rendered services generally non-refundable except in cases of significant concern

  • Refund requests can be made via email (javier@eutierriatherapy.com) or phone (210.806.7966)

Sacred Space and Boundaries

Session Settings:

Our work together may take place in various healing spaces including:

  • Natural environments

    • Public parks or trails

  • Indoor therapeutic spaces

  • Virtual settings when appropriate

Each setting is chosen thoughtfully to support your healing journey while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Documentation and Records:

Honoring both the sacred nature of our work and my professional requirements:

  • Session notes maintain confidentiality while meeting professional standards

  • Care summaries provided when records are requested

  • Administrative fees apply for documentation requests

Safety and Support

Emergency Protocol:

Your safety is paramount. In emergencies:

  • Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room

  • After receiving immediate care, contact your therapist

  • Leave a message with your name, number, and situation

  • We will discuss specific safety planning during our initial consultation, particularly if you have a history of:

    • Self-injurious behavior

    • Suicide attempts

    • Psychiatric hospitalizations

Understanding Fee-for-Service Healing Work

When choosing to work with me, you're investing in a therapeutic relationship that honors wholistic healing approaches while operating outside traditional insurance networks. This choice offers several benefits:

  • Freedom to choose your healing path and practitioner

  • Greater privacy and confidentiality

  • Reduced external constraints on our work together

  • Integration of diverse healing modalities

  • Flexibility in session settings and approaches

For those with insurance, out-of-network benefits may help support your investment in this work. I encourage you to explore these options while remembering that my primary commitment is to your healing journey, not insurance requirements.

Session Framework

Our work together is structured to support deep healing while maintaining clear professional boundaries:

  • Session lengths vary based on the type of healing work and setting

  • Longer sessions available when therapeutically appropriate
