Welcome!

I’m Javier, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and mental health therapist, deeply committed to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for healing and personal growth. My journey into this work has been shaped by my own experiences of overcoming challenges, rediscovering identity, and finding deep connection with nature. I specialize in helping individuals from diverse and historically marginalized communities heal from trauma, particularly focusing on those with a desire to reconnect with their ancestral roots and Earth-based identities.

At the core of my practice is the belief that healing extends beyond the individual—it touches our communities, our environment, and our sense of belonging in the world. With a blend of traditional and nature-based therapeutic practices, I guide individuals through a wholistic* process of healing that nurtures the mind, body, spirit, and our relationship with the land we inhabit. Below, you’ll learn more about my background, my values, and what brought me to this path. I look forward to walking alongside you in your healing journey.

*I've adopted the intentional spelling of wholistic with a 'w' to reflect Indigenous thought around "wholeness" versus the implication of holistic, which has connotations of "holy".

My Story

The path to becoming a therapist wasn’t linear for me, but it was deeply personal. I grew up navigating the complexities of identity and belonging, often feeling disconnected from the communities around me. These early experiences cultivated a deep empathy within me for others who felt similarly marginalized or lost in the search for themselves. My journey took me through many twists and turns—embracing movement, spirituality, and nature as sources of healing, while also wrestling with the impact of religious trauma and societal expectations.

The turning point in my life came when I began to reconnect with my Indigenous roots and the wisdom of my ancestors. This profound realization not only helped me heal, but it also gave me a clear sense of purpose: to help others find their way back to themselves through nature, movement, and connection to their cultural heritage.

Today, my work is a reflection of this personal journey. I use a wholistic* approach to healing that incorporates eco-therapy, trauma-informed care, and a deep understanding of the power of community. I am committed to guiding others through their own transformative journeys, helping them embrace their authentic selves and find healing in connection with the Earth.

In my free time, I enjoy journaling, spending time outdoors, and continuing to deepen my own connection with nature and my cultural roots. I also dedicate time to developing new therapeutic methods that address the intersection of mental health, social justice, and environmental stewardship.

Thank you for being here and for taking the time to learn about my story. I hope that through my work, I can support you on your path of healing and help foster a deeper connection to both yourself and the world around you.
